Acrylic on Canvas
24” x 48”
Unframed
Fiddle Leaf No. 1 is a bold contemporary botanical painting inspired by the sculptural shapes and overlapping leaves of the fiddle leaf fig. Set against a vivid red background, layered greens, deep blue-green shadows, and loose ivory linework transform the familiar houseplant into an expressive study of shape, color, and movement.
Rich surface texture and visible brushwork give the piece a tactile, energetic quality, while the simplified botanical forms create a strong graphic presence from across the room. Up close, imperfect lines, layered marks, and shifts in texture reveal the hand of the artist.
Part of an ongoing exploration of botanical subjects, Fiddle Leaf No. 1 balances modern botanical art with expressive painting—an energetic statement piece suited to contemporary residential, hospitality, workplace, and commercial interiors.
