A sculptural interpretation of the Mississippi River as it winds through the New Orleans region—captured in gold leaf against a hand-textured surface.
This larger-format piece expands on the Waterways That Shape Us series, offering a more immersive view of the river’s movement and presence. The surrounding texture is built by hand, with subtle abstract markings that echo the rhythm of streets, neighborhoods, and lived experience.
What makes this piece unique is the option to personalize it. A small gold inset can be added to include a meaningful detail—coordinates, a name, a date, or a place that matters to you.
The result is both a statement artwork and a personal marker of place.
